OK this is one of my funny stories, well at least now it is, back then it was not! It was a great summer day in Colorado. Summer in Colorado is heaven, since you basically spend most of your days during the Winter , Spring, and Fall indoors, or sleping to work or school in the snow, so when summer arrives it is indeed a great time to be had, cause you can finally get outside without a shirt and just wear shorts.

What I am doing with my blogs are the following, I am alternating them. So in other words I write one that is fun,and goofy, then I will write the next one that is relevant to the Photographic Community, or I will share my experiences with Photography. So for this blog I want to outline the use of documents, and how doing this task will make your life so much easier, in particular if you are planning on selling or displaying any images. By the way if I do sell the images I usally work out some compensation share with the model, that would be a separate agreement.

Free Trip to Jamaica, and Dream Shoot

Wilbur

OK here's the deal, I have a 3 year old Bassett Hound his name is Wilbur. I love the dog, but I feel so bad, since no one in the entire family ever plays with him, so I decided it was best to find him a great home. We hope to find him a home where he will be happy and well cared for, a family that loves him, and plays with him daily.-ter

Tattoo Shoot

Well I just got back from meeting a model and the tattoo artist. We are going to shoot some images soon of the model getting a tat. Should be fun and yield some compelling images. The model will be doing implied nude, which basically means, she will be nude but covered in strategic spots, it really makes for a sexy shoot in my opinion since it does add an element of excitement, and eroticism to the image. The model has only done a few of these and is a little nervous but I think once the artist starts the tat process she will probably focus more on that and forget the nervousness. I will add to this blog after the shoot for an update.

AND here is the rest of the story........

The time came to do the shoot and about a day beforehand my wife got a call from the tattoo artist , and guess who flaked! The tattoo artist! I could not believe it! I mean I was going to pay him 300.00 dollars for this, and give him a canvas print of the end result! I was especially pissed that he had his assistant call , and he could not even call me personally, kind of a chickenshit way to handle business. I should out him but I won't since I am too nice of a guy! The model was OK with it , and agreed to reschedule.

Well I had my virtual assistant call around and put up an ad on Craigslist, and low and behold we found a guy that way willing to do it, he was Scott at badassink in Scottsdale. So I went ahead and paid him a deposit and scheduled the date! I contacted the model she said no problem.

The day came to do the shoot, I had one shoot before that with Gwen(GwendolynAdrenaline), Ashley . We did that shoot, and as we finished up, I mentioned the other model was supposed to be ready at 8 pm. Check it out , you can pretty much figure out where this is going. It was 8:10 and the tattoo artist called me and asked where the hell were we. I told him we were waiting on the other model. He said hurry up , as he was on a schedule. This was especially annoying, since the day before ,I had called her and spoke to her in person, and she asked what to bring, we chatted and she confirmed. To this day I don't understand why people are such assholes about this, I mean if you don't , or can't do it don't say you will be there!

Well good karma was with me, and Gwen volunteered to get the tat. I love this girl, not only is she fun but she is very willing and stepped up!

Gwen and her friend Ashley went and got something to eat and met us at the tattoo parlour ( well it was actually a room in a salon in Scottsdale) As Gwen got ready I started shooting, the shoot was a blast, although very painful for Gwen. The tat is on her hip , so that is a pretty tender area, but again what a trooper!

As Gwen got the tattoo, I even shot some images of Ashley in the Salon , so I guess it all worked out since I ended up getting two shoots for the price of one!

The images turned out great, and Gwen loves her tat. I told her we are now forever connected , which in some way is pretty cool, since she will never forget the experience!

So flake tattoo artist one, and flake model two , totally missed out, especially since these images are intended for a book I am writing. Gwen and I will give a shout out to those two when we are on Oprah someday( gotta dream big)!

Well I have been working on these sites for sometime now and the day is finally here! One of them should be online today March 21st 2008! I am soooo excited.

What are these sites? Well KachOOzie.Net is a social networking site, that is not unlike MySpace, but geared more towards folks that work in the Modeling, Art , Design, Photography fields. It will be a great site to establish relationships to further your career or just for fun to get started in the field.
